Energy driven technologies and enhanced per-capita waste production have led to the establishment of novel simultaneously produce fuels as well treat wastes. Anaerobic digestion is cost-effective sustainable process biogas. Biogas a mixture CO2, CH4, H2S, an eco-friendly inexpensive renewable biofuel. This gases restricts biogas utilization in vehicular fuel, CHPs, therefore, upgradation becomes necessary step. Conventional for example water scrubbing, physical adsorption, chemical amine etc. are cost intensive require high maintenance. Novel like biological methods being investigated new improvements made conventional methods. review aims give close insight about various including, pressure swing, membrane separation, cryogenic methods, etc., along with major challenges limitations. The study also intends provide overview future perspective scope these technologies.
